In early 2023, the ASCCP Board of Directors adopted it's Strategic Plan after a year-long effort. This plan is broken into four overarching goals. Each goal has a strategic objective and suggested tasks to help accomplish that objective. Here are the goals and the high priority objectives the ASCCP will work to accomplish over the next 12-18 months.
Goal #1—Lead the Field: Promote research and be the clear voice in developing and disseminating evidence-based best practices
High Priority Objectives:
- Continue developing and implementing guidelines
- Serve as the communication channel in the dissemination and implementation of methods, guidelines, and best practices
Goal #2—Member Support: Continue to develop educational opportunities and other resources that provide value to our members
High Priority Objectives:
- Expand content and resources to provide relevance and value to our members
- Create additional engagement opportunities
- Conduct an analysis of the ASCCP annual meeting in order to understand the "science" of how to run a meeting, what venues are optimal, and the best modalities of delivery
Goal #3—Champion Equity: Promote accessible and equitable care
High Priority Objectives:
- Develop additional ASCCP resources that promote accessible and equitable care
Goal #4—Expand Membership: Diversity membership and increase member engagement
High Priority Objectives:
- Develop a targeted outreach effort to increase membership and engagement
