It is important for healthcare providers to expand their knowledge and improve care for women with a variety of vulvovaginal conditions. Although they are common, vulvovaginal disorders are also frequently misdiagnosed. It is crucial for providers, with a special interest in lower genital tract disease, to increase their knowledge of these diagnoses. Participants will test their knowledge of some common and uncommon conditions of the vulva and the vagina utilizing a case-based presentation. The audience will be given questions throughout each case presentation for audience interaction. An emphasis on treatments for the conditions will be present throughout this section of the course.

The Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) course best serves licensed healthcare professionals who have an intermediate to advanced level of medical knowledge and colposcopic practice. The course is designed for those who have previously taken a basic colposcopy course and/or have completed a colposcopy rotation in residency or training, and now desire the opportunity for in-depth learning in LEEP. Ideal for those interested in offering a wider range of treatment to the women in their communities, the LEEP course will provide vital information on electrosurgical physics and safety, procedure techniques, and the necessary equipment and supplies. After successfully completing the course, participants are expected to partake in a hands-on mentored performance training as required for credentialing in new procedures by their home institutions, as this course alone will not prepare participants for independent practice. Participants will likely be those who have a sufficient patient volume to ensure that LEEP skills, once mastered, will be maintained.

As an inter-professional team of healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, dentist, nurse, patient navigator, direct of non-profit patient advocacy group) who serve different types of populations, we developed an interactive and adoptive flashcard learning platform which has been demonstrated to improve vaccine knowledge and recommendations. Panelists will share their experience in developing this tool and how they have addressed the unique challenge in their own practice. Using this as an example, the session will provide an opportunity for attendees to brainstorm needs of providers in their own practice and innovative ways to provide continued education with the panelists.
