RESIDENTS EXAM
ASCCP partnered with the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to utilize over 1,000 colposcopy images from the NCIs archive in the development of the Residents Assessment of Competency in Colposcopy exam. In addition to the photographs from the NCI, the new ASCCP examination provides a real-world interactive format for assessing medical knowledge, diagnosis and patient management competencies in colposcopy.
The new ASCCP Residents Assessment of Competency in Colposcopy exam is 1 hour in length and includes multiple-choice questions, slide identification questions and case history studies. Through the use of the exam, we hope to help residencies assess both their residents colposcopy skills as well as their own teaching program.
Fees for the exam are based on a sliding scale depending on the number of residents from a particular program taking the exam.
